Description
The heavy duty 24" diameter x 96" long canvas (10 oz. cotton army duck) windsock is commonly used on airport runways, airstrips, hospital helipads, chemical plants and oil rigs.
Our windsocks are made in the USA to FAA specifications using the highest quality materials available. The throat and tail of the 24" windsock is reinforced with a triple hemmed band of white cotton duck fabric for additional durability. windsocks are sewn with UV resistant, bonded, polyester thread for enhanced durability. All windsocks are fitted with weather resistant #2 brass grommets for easy attachment to the frame. This windsock is fabricated using 10.10 oz. cotton army duck, which has been treated to be water repellent and mold resistant.

Very hardy windsock!
I live on a residential airport and our beacon and windsock are mounted on a 42ft tower in my back yard. Now in my mid-60s, I'm not as thrilled to climb that tower as I used to be. Therefore, I wanted a windsock that would last for awhile. These new "canvas" socks from Lone Star last between 1 and 1-1/2 years in our brutal Texas sun, which is 3 to 4 times what the nylon and polyester socks from another company lasted. Suffice it to say that I think Lone Star's "canvas" socks are the best!!!
